The last time the Rockets were [somewhat] relevant. Seems like ages ago.

Still got all three jerseys of those "big three" - Mac, Artest #96 and Yao. Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

    Brent Barry
    Shane Battier
    Aaron Brooks
    Brian Cook
    Chuck Hayes
    Carl Landry
    Kyle Lowry
    Tracy McGrady
    Yao Ming
    Dikembe Mutombo
    Luis Scola
    Von Wafer
    James White
    Metta World Peace

    That was the end.

    With all due respect,

You know we did have I group of guys who actually won the title! Twice. Even got the best fansite in the world named after their efforts.

I thought we lost a game vs someone that would have put us at a 3 seed instead Of a five seed.

We could have avoided la until the conference finals.

The first Rockets game I've ever been to was during that season.

It was during the short-lived stretch that Yao, T-Mac, and Artest were all playing.

Ironically, we lost to the bottom-feeder Wizards that game.

Nah I think we would've been 4th seed instead of 5th with HCA against the the Blazers. But I do remember a lot of teams were tied with the same record in the West

One of the best wins I remember from that team in the regular season was against the Cavs who were supposedly the best team in the NBA at the time. Suffocating defense. Yao owned LeBron.

Remembering amazing times like this is what makes mad when people try to act like our current squad actually has a chance for the playoffs..

The last game was against dallas. I remember because if we had won that game we would have won our division and been 4th instead of 5th

That was one of my favourite rocket games in recent memory. I remember the commentators saying how perfect it was, because Artest played all physical with Lebron, then we'd sub him out for Battier who played more cerebrally.

    Injuries, man. God damn injuries.

Tracy McGrady, Ron Artest, Yao Ming. If it were 04-05 that would be the team of the decade.

Too bad McGrady was one legged, Artest was a chucker, and Yao destroyed his foot.

That team was stacked. Glad I still have NBA 2k9 to reminisce.
