There is no more Ron Artest. There is only Metta World Peace. :).

I really enjoyed that team, too.

    He's right.

The lakers we're the best team, if we win that series, there is no doubt in my mind we were gonna win the title. Even with Yao I'm not sure we could have beat them. When they showed up, they usually beat us. But we had a chance.

We would have smoked Denver and Orlando.

    Miss that guy!

That team was definitely fun to watch! That team had a lot of fire, toughness and a lot of leaders - Chuck, Battier, Yao, Deke, Artest - fun times!

Man, that team was definitely amazing. That was probably the best team that Morey assembled. Luck just wasn't on our side.

He seemed really genuine when he spoke about the 2009 team. And yeah, Rockets definitely would have won that championship had Yao stayed healthy (and the officiating wasn't rigged). After the Lakers were the Carmelo-led Nuggets, who would have been a pushover seeing as they were led by Carmelo. And then you had Dwight Howard's Magic in the Finals. We all know what Yao does to Dwight Howard.

Imagine, in a perfect world, where everyone was healthy:

    PG - Steve Francis
    SG - Tracy McGrady
    SF - Ron Artest
    PF - Luis Scola
    C. - Yao Ming

    That's a dynasty right there!

Nice to see Artest enjoyed his time here, and was fond of the memories. Sucks that we don't know what could have happened but, it was a fun year none the less.

you can see when he was being asked about dragic v lowry he had little interest in responding. as soon as he was asked about 2009 and big yao, his eyes lit up. I want to cry now. Damn you basketball gods!

Ron doesn't care, he got his ring so even though I don't question the fact he liked being here with Yao and everything but that's it.

One of Morey's masterpieces from a talent standpoint.

    Brooks / Lowry
    McGrady / Barry / Wafer
    Artest / Battier
    Scola / Landry
    Yao / Deke

    My god, so stacked!

Brings tears to my eyes. :(

If only T-mac wasn't cursed with injuries... We would have won the Championship that year. There's no doubt in my mind.
