quite revealing for what Mitt really thinks.

 

Mitt is dead on accurate with that statement. It's fact. It's one of my biggest beefs with Obama -- he's created a culture lacking personal responsibility and one of free handouts, then the democrats reap the benefits of those votes. It's frankly not unlike the situation in some of the failing (economically) European countries such as Greece. The recipe is similar: give the people handouts, those people vote for you, repeat cycle.

 

I don't find what he says really all that terrible or different than what he has been saying.

What is interesting is that some of the things he believes...is really kind of strange and irrational. I didn't realize he actually believes the stuff that comes out of his mouth but now I realize he does indeed have a distorted view of his opponent, his reality, and what's happening around the world.

Like that Obama thinks he can do foreign policy just on magnetism. ???? Why would he think that. He and Putin fight all the time, and yet Putin does respect him. And Romney thinks the recession will end just because he is elected? Is he smoking something during that speech???

 

What an insulting, pathetic human Romney is.

I'm almost positive that pretty much everyone on this board are in that 47% (even you). Are you suggesting that we all don't have jobs? don't pay taxes? don't take personal responsibility for our lives?

 

The people who depend on the govt. that Mitt is talking about, are Elderly, people who's children have severe disabilities, veterans who've served our nation's military, etc.

Those are all people who depend on govt. services and get different types of aid from the U.S. govt. Those are the people included in who Mitt talks about.

So now, you come out and say that they lack personal responsibility, and wanting free handouts. You are incredibly unsupportive of our soldiers who've served in our military who receive veterans benefits. Well at least it's out there for all to see where you stand.

Please provide a link with the exact statistics showing what proportion these folks make up. I won't accept your conjecture. You haven't earned the benefit of the doubt.

Are veteran's benefits a benefit from the govt? Are Medicare and Social Security govt. programs?

It seems you want to know what portion of the people you were insulting. That's too bad. It doesn't matter what portion of the people the elderly and veterans you insulted were. The fact remains that they are part of those who receive govt. benefits, and you just now insulted them.

It doesn't matter if 90 out of 100 people you're insulting aren't veterans are elderly. It doesn't change the fact that you called the veterans of our military and elderly lacking personal responsibility.

I don't see how this comment from Romney is any worse than Obama's line about "clinging to guns and religion" back in 2008.
