Mostly he is what we always wanted Carl Landry to be, bigger and longer. Energy guy, leaper, etc. Landry had more consistent 15 footer though, but Harrell has shown ability to improve atLouisville over the years.
i really like this pick. this is another guy that can defend three positions in the front court at a high level because of his incredible wing-span and athleticism. High motor who showed a lot of improvement on offense over the season. High ceiling player that is still developing offensively; reminds me a little of Gerald Wallace. This is a guy that can get on the court quickly just because of his defense and i never saw him outside of the 20's in any mock draft i looked at, so we got great value. Very solid 2nd round pick.
Hack a Shaq is going to be like shooting fish in a barrel for our opponents. Who to foul, who to foul... so many choices!
He kind of reminds me a bit of a more athletic Carl Landry the way he works that baseline for garbage buckets. I always like a few guys on the roster who can get a few easy buckets from their hustle. I don't know about the Draymond comp being very likely but I suppose he could be a guy who could guard at least 3 positions. To be Draymond like he would need to be capable of guarding all five and he'll have to improve his shooting too. Keep in mind Draymond did that over the course of several years of hard work - he was penciled in to be a deep reserve at the beginning of the year. ...all in all though - he looks like first round talent at 2nd round price. You can't argue with that. Seems like if he can turn into a solid role player, he will be a real steal.

this is where he was slated to go... Chad Ford, ESPN: No. 26, San Antonio Spurs Chris Mannix, Sports Illustrated: No. 25, Memphis Grizzlies USA Today: No. 26, San Antonio Spurs Scott Howard-Cooper, NBA.com: No. 18, Houston Rockets Jonathan Givony, DraftExpress.com: No. 24, Cleveland Cavaliers Zach Harper, CBSSports.com: No. 19, Washington Wizards Gary Parrish, CBSSports.com: No. 23, Portland Trailblazers Sam Vecenie, CBSSports.com: No. 25, Memphis Grizzlies Bleacher Report: No. 26, San Antonio Spurs NBADraft.net: No. 19, Washington Wizards looks like he will be traded or getting time this year to me. that is if some of the other PF's get traded and/or josh smith is not back.
There's a reason this guy fell in the laps of the Rockets. Great energy guy. Will do dirty work and not afraid to get dirty. But not much outside of that. Put him in the summer/D League, see what more they can get out of him. I just hope they are not planning to start the season with him as the backup PF.
I don't think you really understand Roachiep how rare of a feat Draymond pulled last year. In the past 10 YEARS!!!! only 3 other 6-7 players pulled those numbers.. Gerald Wallace, Jason Maxiell, and Shawn Marion.. Here is the updated Linky from my post w/ 6-7,6-8,6-9 players with those stats.. PTS >=5, TotalRB >=4, Blocks >=1 Linky for you an additional 1 player >> You make it sound like undersized PF's are just waiting to blossom like Draymond Green.
I like this pick. I would have preferred Hernangomez but Harrel is excellent for #32. Its amazing he fell that far.
When was the last time we had a guy in the All-Star dunk contest? Between Montrizzy, KJ (if retained), and Nick Johnson, I'm expecting a representative soon.
His form is nice:grin:. Looks like Melo's, with the leg sweep and arm movements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nKSkGGE9Tk
Love this guy. Strange that his shooting percentage is so low considering how great his shot form is. Reminds me a lot of Melo's form. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nKSkGGE9Tk
