    To be fair to the Celtics, the two players that would have carried the Celtics mantle for the better part of the 90s both died while in/before their prime years of their lives. I don't think many teams have had to deal with tragedies like that in the past 20 years. To have premier players die, including one on draft night, certainly can put a damper on a franchise's swagger.
