wouldnt u just trade clint russ harden to rebuild n get those picks back once u see u cant win?.
im curious why people dont get this. if it comes to the point were u know u cant win with those guys u can trade them
    ..everybody has a price.
idk why people trip about picks lol.

hardrn would get u so many firsts alone to rebuild.

We do have time. Iggy is old AF and house alone is not enough to match his salary anyway. Also keep in mind the grizz can't just take back a ton of players they do not have unlimited rooster space. Who else do you think we should give up for old man Iggy ? Dealing a young player with good potential on a cheap deal is stupid IMO. Keep developing the young players. Do you want another Covington situation? Now we are practically begging him back.

Give up a good young piece for a few month rental? I think not. Get Jeff green and call it a day. We do not have the assets to pull a big move.

    yup.

I predict our deadline will be:

    1) nene+SRP for tax savings
    2) riot

if the rockets were to spend a FRP it would have to be for a significant upgrade. a significant upgrade would cost significant money (i.e. a significant player like tucker or capela). I don't see them making deep cuts like that right now. I also don't see them trading sefalosha or chandler. would be a bad look for future vets who we try to sign. that leaves house, mclemore, and harty. no way we trade harty since he's good and locked up. so our wing help should come from house/mclemore/pick. the player we bring back has to make under $6M. I don't think there's anyone out there at that price who they would consider so much better than house or mclemore that he would be worth them and a pick.

I concur. The FRPs need to be put with Gordon & his upcoming salary bump in the offseason. If not we will be stuck with and locked in on a 3rd guard making max money. We must wait or commit to an over priced Gordon forever.

Using Gordon as our large salary in a trade would be so damn depressing after how we utterly wasted the Ryno and Knight contracts.

Hartenstein is playing his role right now.

Hartenstein playing the best role that is for him by letting capeala set the table.

What else can we do, giving picks to less than max player (already established) is just waisting them away with no long term return. Capela plus Tucker would get us there salary wise but that is a lot plus the picks and little time to build chemistry for this season playoffs. One starter will be hard but a new front court is almost impossible. Then Gordon’s retirement will be from our bench years from now in street clothes because he hadn’t seen game time for 2 years.

Just hope that wing isn't taller than 6'6 or DantonIhateyoustupid"coach" won't play them.

Im very worried PJ's health will continue to go down hill and he wont be effective in the playoffs. We need to find a front court player with size who can take some pressure off.

I think the passing of Kobe is going to change the next two weeks of transactions. I'd imagine teams will hold off making deals this week because of the optics and I imagine the Lakers are going to want to make a big splash to try to ensure they are the prohibitive title favorites. The NBA is going to want the Lakers to win this season and I doubt the refs have any problem helping that happen. I'm curious to see what team is willing to gift them a player for under market value.

Other teams can offer FRP plus better players than House/McLemore, reason for the "overpay".

Bjelica for House, NENE, and 2020 FRP?

May not be worth it for aging player, although house is a young upcoming player , But does he really have a ceiling? I dont think he is projected to be any better than he is now. Bjelica is a now player who spaces the floor(3pt Specialist), hitting his prime now he could be a steal!. Rockets could use a better ryan anderson like player, who can space the floor and rebound at Power Forward with Capela. Rebounding is key..

why do we need another wing player??
Harden/Russ/EG/Rivers/House/Ben/Thabo all can play the wing and PJ can play the bigger SFs too.
and some suggest we trade Clint for this "wing player" is even crazier, who's gonna play the center? like our lineup is not small enough already?

i really hope we use these few remaining "future picks" on a big man, hopefully a capable pf who can 3&D and play some at 5, this are what we lack of most.
something like a future pick with Nene's and Green's expiring contracts to the Chicago Bulls for Lari Markkanen would really help this team to compete the 2 LA teams
here's some highlight what this guy can bring to this team
