I was the first one to call out Cam Whitmore last year as the unheralded talent of the draft and never thought he’d drop to 20, but it worked out and we now have a likely future all-star on our squad. This year’s player I am guaranteeing will be better than his draft position is Zach Edey. He reminds me of Yao Ming in that with some help on moves from Hakeem, he can be dominant and an absolute steal at #9. He’ll be available and people will rip on his lack of athleticism, but imagine him backing up Sengun and Adams. That would be one heck of a trio. Don’t sleep on 40 points and 20 rebounds in a tournament game. Just because you’re tall doesn’t guarantee those types of numbers. His potential is legit and could make a world of difference in the future of this franchise!

Additional note….Klingan the projected 5th pick had 11 points and 5 rebounds and Edey had 37 points and 10 rebounds in the final game. To get a player at number nine with that potential could be the gift of a lifetime for this team.

Clingan (Klingone) might become the better player.......

    Sure you were.

Anyway, we appreciate your ongoing efforts to create a new thread for your every thought!

As for Edey, in any other draft he'd be a sure 2nd-rounder. This year he'll probably go between 15-25, hopefully not to us.

Boban remix. I’d take him in the late first but only for lolz. He’d get run off the court in crunch time

I’d rather that we did not.

Or you could draft Filipowski. A 7 footer that can shoot the three. He doesn’t give you the rim protection of Edey, but Filipowski is a multitalented big with a fast motor. It would also give us options in regard to Sengun.

Kel’el Ware could move up in this draft. He’s tall athletic and can shoot the three- ball. 15, 10 and 2 blks at 7’0. He need to add weight but he has some skill at that size.

    Draft Edey?

If Sengun is the best player on the team and the guy you are building around, I'm not spending such a premium asset on his backup .... No Thanks (at #9).

Now IF all my wing / shooter targets are off the board by the time my selection rolls around, you could convince me to draft him as BPA but it's not likely all those guys are gone by #9.

I have not watched a college game in 10 years, is he a lights out 3pt shooter? Otherwise a slow plodding center is a hard pass
