It’s incredible that Van Veleet, Eason, Brooks, Sengun, Smith, and Jalen Green are all in the top 49 of defensive win share in the NBA

Van Veleet is #2 Eason is number 7, Sungun and Brooks are 32 and 33. Smith is 40 and Jalen Green is 49.

As a bonus, Tate comes in at 55, Holiday 81, and Jeff Green at 133.

The whole team is putting in the defensive intensity!!! Beautiful basketball!

I'm happy about the improvement but it's helping us a lot to severely limit the opponent's pace. The downside of that is our pace is really slow and that causes several problems for us. The good news is we're really understanding how to play in a slow half court offense, which is something you need to be good at in the playoffs. The bad news is we're not taking advantage of our speed and athleticism and it's limiting shot opportunities for our scorers.

I think what will happen is we are going to get faster at executing this defense and better/faster at executing our offense. People tend to forget this entire coaching staff and most of the roster was put together like 24 games ago. There's still so much chemistry that's going to develop.

Imagine the Defense and offensive pace once Amen and Cam have developed and are part of the mix. May be competing for a deep playoff run much quicker than we thought
