wow! but your link didn't work. <a href="http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/1066434">try this link</a> btw: isn't this part illegal?
It would be interesting to see the poker game that's going on behind the scenes. You know St. Jean is saying that they're going to match even if they aren't, and it's up to Rudy to decide just how much he wants to give up (or more likely take-on) to get Jackson, or if he's willing to call thier bluff.
I don't understand the part about negotiating with Golden State either. Is it going to be kind of like a sign-and-trade?
I believe it was in the same neighborhood but I think that Maloney's was a bit more (like $30mil i believe).
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, if getting Mo injured for a year means Jackson is ours for the long run, i LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! YES! YES!
I don't like this signing. this is too much money for too long for a guy who had a decent 55 games. I do not like this at all.
So our 2 centers have been signed to 6 year deals worth a combined $66M. Both players have yet to prove anything in the NBA except for how well they can sit on IR...
I agree Thanos! Even though you hate to see Mo get injured, and I hope he comes back strong next year, at least we get something out of it. This would beef up our frontline for years to come, and would allow the Rockets not to have to rely solely on Cato in the future! Sweet!
Limited range, limited post game, no shot blocking presence, slow feet = mediocre to bad center. At least he didn't get a Cato-deal.
Michael Jordan missed almost all of his second season... I guess he was a huge bust. Prediction: Marc Jackson, if he starts, averages 14 points, 8 rebounds, and plays in over 70 games I don't like this signing. this is too much money for too long for a guy who had a decent 55 games. I do not like this at all. If someone can average 16 points and 10 rebounds as a starting center in the NBA (no matter what team he does it on), that contract is a huge steal.
