Currently the MVPs for the last 9 years are all in the Rockets bracket. This list includes 3 one-time MVPs along with 2 from Curry and 4 from LeBron. I don't think this has ever been done or will ever be done again. Not to mention it being done by the current MVP and probable finals MVP.

A look at Harden's potential victims:

    YEAR PLAYER TEAM
2016-17 Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
2015-16 Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
2014-15 Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
2013-14 Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
    2012-13 LeBron James, Miami Heat
    2011-12 LeBron James, Miami Heat
2010-11 Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls *DEFEATED*
    2009-10 LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
    2008-09 LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

What does this mean? Is it a destiny, a coincidence, divine retribution, proof of the GOATMVP? How impressive would it be to achieve this feat?

I personally am rooting for OKC just so Harden can get a chance to dominate Westbrook along with the others. But, I will root for NO in round 2 as well because....

Didn't see "Michael Jordan" listed. No Jordan, not a real championship.

    Put an *asterisk* on it.

    ;)

If you beat the Thunder you'll beat the MVP of ALL TIME according to one Doris Burke!

(Full disclosure, I like Doris and think she's great at her job. Hate this take of hers though)

'95 Rockets are more amazing. Beating a 62 gm, 60 gm, and 59 gm winners to get to Sweep Orlando. From the 6 seed (cause of injuries) and all the road playoff game wins.

This is cute and all, but GS still needs to get past the Pelicans. And that is suddenly not looking like a no-brainer lock.

If the weird and wonderful happens, and we beat OKC/Utah and NO happens to knock out the Worriers, I think we are a much better matchup against the Pelicans than GS is, so that wouldn't bother me.

But it would sure knock down the number of former MVP's for us to beat in one run!
