Article from the Heavy. Thought this was interesting. My apologies if this has already been posted but I thought IDIOT https://www.google.com/amp/s/heavy.com/sports/2018/12/kevin-love-trade-rockets-blazers-latest/amp/ Better news than J R, but I don’t know what to believe anymore. I trust nothing.
That article is based off Haberstroh spitballing players to watch at the trade deadline. Misleading thread title.
He’s owed $145M, injury prone and brings little to table in terms of leadership or intangibles. Not what this team needs.
My bad. You are correct. Can someone delete this if need be? I don’t want to violate any board rules.
No worries. It happens. The article itself is misleading, we've all fallen for similar things before. For discussion's sake, I don't think I'd want KLove right now. In the right situation he could help us but given our current predicament I don't think he's what we need.
I want no business with JR. He can keep him and his smokes in Cleveland. Love on the other hand.. well, I’d gladly take him off their hands.
Honestly I think this is exactly what we need. I think we miss Ryno more than people admit — not his contract or the sudden shell he had become, but a big who could hit from way outside and rebound. Sorely lacking in that department. I would welcome Love — but at what cost? I don’t think I’d want to lose Ego for him. Obviously not Capela, Harden, or Cp3. Would they shed him for multiple draft picks, Melo and other unwanted trash? I hope so...please, God, please.
No no no no. Just no damnit. This is Melo part two - a washed up dude who cant defend your little sister just because he was a big name once upon a time.
You're good... no worries. I changed the thread title and included the video where Haberstroh speculates those two teams as possibilities for Kevin Love.
Wish the Rockets go after Kristaps Porzingis, he is worth those 1st Rd Picks. A younger player a Stretch Forward, Shot Blocker, Excellent Dribbling. I don't care if he is injured he is a Dynamic Player.
I wish they would too, but the Knicks would be crazy to deal him. For all of the reasons you named, he is perfect for the modern NBA. He projects to be a megastar if he heals properly.
Makes you wonder what if Ryno was never tossed around in every trade conversation leading up to his departure. That summer we got CP3. He had a damn good season leading up to it, horrendous playoffs but he was huge for our regular season success. And then everyone was dying for New York to take him off our hands. Damn. Can’t believe I’d trade this season for two seasons ago. .... .... Damn
Love is a sieve on defense for shore.. BUT. I always thought him and Hardens game would complement each other much like Harden did with a motivated Ryan Anderson. Plus if we could move Tucker to the 3 and Ennis to the Bench I would be all for it. Defensively you put Love on the opponents worst 3 4 or 5 and let Tucker help with the tough 3s and Clint with the tough 4s. There are a couple teams that wouldn't work great against like the Warriors, but it's better than what we would look to run out against them currently. I would deal Knight, Gordon and picks for Love and Hood in a heart beat. Start - Paul, Harden, Tucker, Love, Clint Bench - Hood, Ennis, Clark, Nene, Green And cross your fingers we could get another playmaker somewhere else.. like Tyuss Jones..
