Watching PJ got me thinking, who’s your 5 all time Rockets defenders? I got:

    Patrick Beverly
    PJ Tucker
    Chuck Hayes
    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Shane Battier

    2nd team:

    CP3
    Trevor Ariza
    Vernon Maxwell
    Moses Malone
    Otis Thorpe

That fist team tho, You’d be lucky to score 75 against that squad.

CP3 is definitely a better defender than Bev-- Bev hustles more though. Bev would be 1st team all hustle team.

    My top 5:
    CP3
    Battier
    PJ Tucker
Who wants to sex Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo
    Hakeem

All-time without considering Rockets contributions though maybe:

    CP3
    Charles Oakley
    Scottie Pippen
Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo
    Hakeem

I'd like to think Pippen wasn't a Rocket though.

Don't forget Robert Horry and his block shot & steal were important for the Rockets championship runs.

CP3 was past his best since being here tbh.

Lowry was a better defender when he was here imo.
Obvs Career wise CP3 is better.

    Mine is the same 5
    Beverley
    Battier
    Tucker
    Hayes
    Olajuwon

    Though 2nd team is
Artest is probably who steps in. Though my knowledge of the rockets really only goes to 1990

    CP3
    Ron Artest
    PJ Tucker
    Hakeem
    Moses

All are excellent one-on-one AND help defenders.

Paint is pretty much shut off.

Passing lanes close to non-existent as well.

Good luck scoring against these 5...lulz...

    Starting 5

    CP3
    Ariza
    Battier
    Tucker
    Olajuwon

    Bench

    Beverley
    Maxwell
    Artest
    Hayes
    Mutombo

well, to have a serviceable offense i'll change the lineup to this:
    Starting 5

    Beverly
    Ariza
    Battier
    Hayes
Olajuwon (post-up offense and kick out for three's)

    Bench

CP3 (will orchestrate the offense & keep Maxwell and Artest in mental check)
    Maxwell
    Artest
    Tucker
    Mutombo

or maybe Maxwell should start and Battier run w/ CP3

For the modern NBA, a front court of Tucker, Battier and Dream would be perfection.

CP3 would certainly be on the team and a tossup between Beverly and Mad Max.
