i was watching the ESPN on Rockets 94 last night, and it made me think what a great fronline they had. so i wondered if that was the best frontline of the ROx ever?
so here is is between the Rox frontline, whisch is your favorite?
    Thorpe, Hakeem, Horry
    Swift, Yao, T-Mac
    Ralph, Hakeem, McCray

I'm gonna have to go with Ralph, Hakeem, McCray.

Back in the day before Ralph got hurt, him and Akeem would destroy opponets.

Of course, I hope our current group surpasses them all someday

I'll reserve judgement until after at least the first 20-30 games; maybe until after the season. If we revamp the backcourt any, our front line may not gel until late in the season. The team must not only adjust to Swift's vastly different game, but playing time issues and chemistry between him and JH may take a while to resolve.

    from Ill-Skillz:
Definitely. All 3 were far from away from their potential (sigh), but Ralph and Rodney's bodies gave out early. Those 3 were hell-on-wheels in '85 & '86 and the NBA had never seen a frontcourt that fast, that young, and that talented.

I had to go with Thorpe, Horry, Hakeem. When you think about, they completed each other perfectly, Thorpe's toughness and strength, Hakeem's scoring and defense, Horry's athleticism and shooting. The only thing it lacked was ball handling out of Horry.

All time, sorry Ming doesn't make the list

    T-Mac
    Hayes
Hakeem and Ming is still behind Malone.

Akeem and Ralph (when he was healthy) were the best.

If Ralph's body hadn't given out they were a dynasty about to emerge

If yours doesn't include Dream at the center, you're crazy.

That said, I think I'll go with this:

Eric Riley, Carl Herrera, Chris Jent.

Hakeem,Ralph, and Rodney..don't forget Jim Peterson off the bench

Hakeem and Ralph were All-Stars and were complete offensively and defensively and Rodney was solid on all aspects of the game. They went up against one of the best front lines of all time (Bird,Parish, and McHale..Walton off the bench) and help their own at went to game six of the Finals. If Ralph stayed healthy after that run, it would have been scary to have seen what they would have done.

    Gotta go with....

    Akeem, Sampson and Rodney

    Followed by...

    Hakeem, Thorp and Horry

    Hakeem, Horry and Drexler

    Hakeem, Barkley and Drexler

    Hopefully...

Yao, Swift and T-Mac will make the list but not yet.

I gotta go with Akeem, Ralph and Rodney.

If Ralph stays healthy and our guards stay off cocaine, we would have won a championship or two .... or three or four......

Also, with these three you had two No.1 and one No. 3 pick from two back to back drafts on your front line. You don't see that often, if ever.
