Bari - 32% Eason - 38% JG - 41% KPJ - 44% KMJ - 45% (this guy basically just tries to dunk and is this bad lol) is it 100% on Silas? No. Ofc not. It’s not Silas fault Bari can’t put in an alley pop layup. but it’s mostly on him. System is pathetic. and the even more pathetic part is they are sold at 3 pt shooting. Which should create spacing. And allow for easier twos.
I suspect (based only on eye evidence) that guys are going for contested dunks way too often instead of layups or finishing off the glass.
I don't know...if guys are getting open for 2 pt shots and aren't making them, that's more on the players themselves rather than Silas. However, I think the lineups and the team not appearing motivated to play at times are legitimate criticisms of Silas. But we can't let Stone escape criticism as well for the players he has acquired for Silas to coach.
The problem is KPJ isn’t a PG, a lot of times he’s late when he passing guys the ball … he doesn’t create easy opportunities …..and the starting line up has too many ball dominate players - so it’s hard for anyone to get going when the ball isn’t moving Tate, KMJ , Bari , Eason are great cutters…
KPJ has things to work on but Jabari Smith is the weakest player in the starting lineup. That is a statistical fact. He's just a rookie so hopefully he'll get better, but he's been more of a liability than an asset that can help get some wins thus far.
its on stone/silas...sengun for 2 should be rockets bread and butter...hes godly in postups plus godly FTr and would open up 3s and 2s for others but the org doesnt care...NBA is circus anyway and currently they both rockets/nba get most money being a clown org they are
15% on 3.3 pull up 2 point attempts per game…. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shots-general?TeamID=1610612745&GeneralRange=Pullups
They single man press him because he's shaky, slow and tunnel vision which leads to these weak passes from him.
Jabari as a 5, while nice, but we may be going to it too early. Let him get acclimated to the NBA first. Last year, there used to be talks of him as SF, then PF, since our SF spot is loaded, plus we drafted Tari. Now that Jabari grew more inches, which we all like he's at the 5. Yes would be nice if he defensively turns into a Bam, but let's put him at the 4 as the main position. Eventually maybe a 5, if we have to. Mobley, for example, could be a 5, but in the starting Cavs unit, he's a 4 next to Jared Allen.
