hah you libs of this board are grasping at straws

You all are latching on to Trumps comment when Mueller got appointed like that isn't a normal human reaction. If I know I'm innocent and I believe I'm being framed and then someone I literally have a bad past history with is appointed to 'investigate' me.. I along with the majority of humans in that situation would mumble or comment 'Fu*kkk. This is B/S.. I'm getting f*ked here.' It's not like Trump and Mueller don't have a history. The spin is comical.

AND that wasn't even the context Trump was using that comment in. Read several sentences later when the context is clear. The context of that quote was that an independent counsel investigation take years and years which can ruin presidencies due to making almost everything you want to do as a president difficult to get done. Context libtards, context please. History has now shown that Trump was exactly right too with that quote, the investigation stalled so much that could have gotten done, which makes this even more comical to me. The context is literally placed right between the last two highlights of ghettocheeze's highlighted image a few posts up.

He is completely exonerated of collusion, Muellers word not mine. You will have to grasp at straws to claim obstruction.

A lot of moderates will not vote for Trump either so it's not an either or choice.

What we do know is that the energy is on the side of getting rid of Trump and that a percentage of Trump voters would have voted for Berny and he has support through the Midwest.

Berny is not my ideal candidate but I think you may be underestimating his appeal he has stronger a populist message than Trump.

I also think you overestimate how many people think socialism is a dirty word.

here is a interesting article on the Berny Trump voted

About 40 percent of Americans are uneducated idiots who at least think they like socialism.

That is the question........ how many Trump voters would vote for Bernie compared to how many voters that would vote for another candidate will refuse to vote for Sanders.

Socialism is not as dirty a word among younger voters. Among voters in their 50-70's in the Midwest and the Rust Belt? Ehhh I am not as optimistic about that at all.

We do know that Sanders would carry Michigan. However would he carry Arizona? Colorado? States the Democrats have made inroads. Would he be able to win Pennsylvania or Florida or Ohio?

At this point that is really all that matters. The Democrats have concentrated on the general election through the popular vote and not through those 7-8 states that decide the election.

Whoever the Democrats nominate needs to be able to win 4-5 of those states. Ideally it is someone that can deliver Florida or Pennsylvania.

That particular comment does not mean much. It is the other comments in the report that are damning to Trump. They flat out say that Trump instructed multiple subordinates to lie, that Trump's own subordinates did lie in certain circumstances and that an FBI investigation would likely uncover stuff.

That is a lot worse than I expected when Barr made his statement. On one hand I don't think it matters as most people know that Trump is dishonest, corrupt and a blowhard. If you choose to look at it that way, the report just confirms the obvious.

This. Who gives a **** about what Trump supporters think, they are in too deep to change their minds.

This is for the independents who may decide that Trump isn’t a worthy of holding the presidential office.

I suppose he could be doing worse in approval considering the economy has been great. It takes hard work to be so unpopular during this economy.

As I read more and more analysis from lawyers and journalists working their way through the report, it is increasingly clear that folks still claiming this clears Trump are looking, um, not good. It's always a poor choice to make claims about a topic without having experienced or researched it.

Too many regurgitate the things they hear/read stated by others without themselves looking at the reports/testimonies/statistics/etc. The sound approach is always to get the best, closest to ground zero information you can and reason from that. It's the difference between flailing to support a pre-formed belief or narrative versus gathering the data and forming beliefs/conclusions from what is known.

    Here comes the avalanche.

Our conservative friends doing an endzone dance based on the AG's summary alone was mighty stupid.

Although I guess moments to celebrate are rare so might as well take them.

I'm guessing the goalposts will be moved to declare that this is a win since the report won't result in the president immediately going to jail and not passing GO/collecting $200.

Basically the report says: "Donald Trump and the people around him are incompetent pieces of ****, but with the limitations we cannot prove enough to get an indictment. If congress wants to impeach, Trump attempted to get those around him to lie, Trump himself lied, Trump attempted to interfere in the investigation, but was unsuccessful doing any of it."

Which isn't the smoking gun that fools on the extreme left were convinced existed, but it also sure isn't like what Barr claimed the report stated during his off time from having his tongue lodged up Trump's ass.

The report pretty much confirmed what a majority of the main stream media claimed in leaks and reports......... it also confirmed what most people already know, Donald Trump is an immoral *******....... but it will come down to what the voters want.... and that is policy not morality for either side of the aisle.

It is a win for the President, he isn't going to jail and he likely is not going to be impeached.

However, the big issue I have with it is how William Barr acted and purposely framed the narrative to defend the President.

The real hope is that this report finally lights enough of a fire under mainstream democrats to start impeachment proceedings. The skeletons would come tumbling out of that closet would make a graveyard blush.
