Closed down after last night...note from the owner Regretfully, I must inform you that our location on Memorial Drive is no longer open for business. Ultimately, we were not able to overcome the obstacle presented by the lack of parking spaces available for our busy lunch hours. Yada, yada, yada... Willie Madden and the Texadelphia Team Damn...it was so close to my office
There's still one in the village, and one up Westheimer, but take this opportunity to go to Jake's the next time you're in the mood for a cheesesteak. Texadelphia will become a distant memory shortly thereafter.
While I totally agree that Jakes is better and much closer to the actual cheesesteaks in Philadelphia (and owned by a fellow TCU grad), Texadelphia was a great spot...their queso was awesome and hickory and mustard blend on a chicken philly was fantastic...and the location was a great in-between spot for meeting friends who work in Galleria or Downtown
He's right the parking is a nightmare over there. Any other suggestions IN THE AREA??? Anywhere with wifi???
eh, f them. they kicked us out right before overtime of the jets/pats game last year when we had sat there and bought beer and food for 3+ hours.
no!!!!!!!!!!!! that stinks!!!!!! that was so close to my house and my old job!! we always ate lunch super early (there by 11:20) tho so never had a parking issue.
The guys that work at the one on Westheimer have stayed open for my friends and I on multiple occasions. Try there. But Jake's is 10x better. Try the number 1, 3, or 5. Been going there since I turned 16, very friendly staff. Just wish the kitchen didn't close at 9...
Yeah this sucks. That place was literally 3 minutes from my office. We would be there roughly once a week. The queso was awesome. It will be missed.
