Really enjoyed listening to this one. Craig & Joel are doing a great job. What award are they winning? This is the first time I've heard from/about JB Bickerstaff in depth, and he really instills confidence that he knows what he's talking about
I don't think there were really any secrets in there for those professionally involved with the game. It was useful for us fans though
Nooooooo The campaign for J.B. to leave for a head coach position has begun. Great interview. Good to hear a little about the defense side of things.
Oh no, he needs to win a championship first. We defend the perimeter ala Lebron's MIA Heat teams. Nothing secret
His wife re-tweeted this <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Kiss J.B. Bickerstaff goodbye at the end of the season, Rockets fans. He’s gonna be a head coach somehwere</p>— The Dream Shake (@DreamShakeSBN) <a href="https://twitter.com/DreamShakeSBN/status/541434518386008065">December 7, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
J.B. didn't mention the second most important change on defense. The first was Harden's recommitment to defense. Second is replacing Parsons with Ariza.
No one writes like Jason Friedman on Rockets.com, but these Ackerman-Blank Red Nation Roundtables are great!
I still doubt that much of the improvement on D is on JB. Not that I dont give him any credit, but I think the commitment of each guy has put us defensively where we are. Anyways, great interview like in the prior installments. Always good stuff
Well, from a coaching standpoint, he was the one who put in the work to come up with a defensive system for the team to follow. The players get the credit for buying into it on the court, but Bickerstaff should get most, if not all, of the off-court credit.
