Yao was drafted by Rockets in 02-03 and here is our record after all-star from 02, it seems the team's record only got worse after all star than before all-star, except for 04-05(when T-mac first came here, that's a quite good year, Damn the Dallas) and 07-08 mostly because of the 22-win streak. Let's see how this team respond after all-star this year.

2002-03 all-star in Atlanta on Feb.8th, before all-star we are 26-22(54.1%), after all-star we are 17-17(50%), the last team we met before all-star was Cleverland, we lost 102-105.

2003-04 all-star in Los Angeles on Feb.16th, before all-star we are 30-22(57.6%), after all-star we are 15-15(50%), the last team we met before all-star was Lakers, we won 102-87.

2004-05 all-star in Denver on Feb.19th, before all-star we are 32-21(60.3%), after all-star we are 19-10(65.5%), the last team we met before all-star was Wizards, we won 123-93.

2005-06 all-star in Houston on Feb.18th, before all-star we are 22-31(41.5%), after all-star we are 12-17(41.3%), the last team we met before all-star was Suns, we lost 75-109.

2006-07 all-star in Las Vegas on Feb.17th, before all-star we are 33-19(63.4%), after all-star we are 19-11(63.3%), the last team we met before all-star was Dallas, we lost 80-77.

2006-07 all-star in Las Vegas on Feb.17th, before all-star we are 33-19(63.4%), after all-star we are 19-11(63.3%), the last team we met before all-star was Dallas, we lost 80-77.

2007-08 all-star in New Orleans on Feb.15th, before all-star we are 32-20(61.5%), after all-star we are 23-7(76.6%), the last team we met before all-star was Kings, we won 89-87(thanks to the 3 by Novak, otherwise there would not be the historical 22).

2007-08 all-star in Phoenix on Feb.15th, before all-star we are 31-21(59.6%), the last team we met before all-star was Bucks, we lost 124-112. After all-star, we have 30 games,17 at home, 13 on the road................

Last team before All Star game will be Kings just to add. Good info, we have kind of stayed the same, last 2 seasons of course was better.

I actually think this year if we make it to the playoff, things would be different. The reason is Ron Ron.

I don't know if we are gonno be better or worse. Based on the way they are playing, I would predict a first round exit again. But that's just prediction....

Despite all the bad games our record really isn't that bad. Yet, some people on this site are still panicking, I wondered what this site looked like in the 05-06 season.

So we're supposed to be all fine and dandy when a team everyone expected to be major contenders in the West loses by 20 to d-league material Bucks that were missing 3 of their starters, and multiple other scrub teams(Grizzlies, Raptors, Pacers, Knicks) while also blowing double digit leads in the 4th quarter?

I'm not to surprise since we're shooting 4% less in the second half of games. :(

Actually, it seems like we play the same before and after the all star. Ignoring 02-03 and 03-04 since T-mac didnt arrive yet and the team was completely different.

However, it seems like history will repeat itself again. We're gonna end up with a lower seed and get knocked out of the first round...again. Same old story...the core of T-mac and Yao just doesn't work. If it did work don't you think we should've made it past the 1st round at least once? This team needs to rebuild.

Let me explain something that is perfectly clear but often misunderstood.

How we do in the playoffs this year will differ from other years in that we can play very well w/o Tmac..

However, with tmac on your team, each yr in the playoffs is a crap-shoot.

If he starts hot, we will have a 3-1 lead. Then, he will most likely fade under pressure.. or falter to take control when we need him most AFTER scoring tons of points, and we will lose 4-3.

With this team, we MIGHT overcome that.

Basically, tmac is not very strong mentally.. he can be great when he's hitting shots.. but after 2-3 misses, he plays very passively, passes too much, is WAY too predictable.. and then to top it off with some icing, claims to the media that "he's a distributor now" or that "he must be a facilitator now"

Facilitator MY ASS!! IF you were shooting lights out, you'd be taking more shots.. don't blame your lack of confidence and bad shot selection leading to passive basketball on your becoming of a facilifaker..
