Me and some friends are headed to Houston for the first time mainly to visit the new jolibee, so we'll be in that general area. Anyone have any recommendations of must see/go to places? Taking all recommendations and would love some rockets sighting hot spots.

Don't cut people off on the freeway and then shoot them the finger, and don't give the finger to chumps who cut you off. A lot of them have guns in their glove box. And make sure that car is full of gas. It's a long way to anywhere in Houston.

Maybe you just shouldn't drive, now that I think about it. Good luck!

Take I-10 east towards channel view. It's beautiful.

Walk around the Galleria for a few hours and you'll probably see someone from the Rockets.

Ehh I'm not the one driving, but I'll be sure to let the others know. You tell me I shouldn't drive, but don't give me a nice taxi recommendation? I Thought you were better than this Deckard.

Yeah, not so much sightseeing. Not looking to take pictures and all that. Just GOOD places to hangout / visit / eat etc. Want some fun stuff to do.

Go to the Marq-e center on I-10. It was where I took one of my gf's on our first date, so had some good memories there. Nothing too special there, but when you go there, know that I took a gf there and it was the start of a special night.

Jolibee is the only thing to see in Houston.

Head back to whence you came after you finish eating.

I never use a taxi in Houston, so you'll have to get that information from someone else.

If you're visiting Jolibee, their is nothing to do nearby, unless you are visiting the medical center.

You might want to try Miller Outdoor Theater / Zoo (pretty boring unless you have kids), as someone mentioned above.

Drive a little further towards west and you can go to the Galleria Mall / Highland Village.

Drive towards downtown and you can visit maybe the food truck park near the soccer stadium, or even shop in downtown at the plaza. Also a House of Blues in the vicinity. Toyota Center is also nearby, so stop at the Rockets shop I guess.... Discovery Green is nice, located across the street.

Go north of the Galleria and you can go to I-10 / Silber - or Antoine... I forgot, but there is a nice little plaza for movies and entertainment.
