I recently bought some USA made products for myself and as Christmas presents (I tend to start early). I thought it would be cool to have a thread of personal product recommendations: Footskins - http://www.footwearbyfootskins.com/ Bought some deer skin lace up shoes for work. These are very light and some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I bought my dad some non-lace shoes since he prefers slip-ons. http://www.footwearbyfootskins.com/store/item.asp?Category=10&SubCategoryID=&GroupID=&SKU=497 The Hitching Post - http://www.thehitchinpost.com/index.htm Wife purchased the Hardsole Men's Moccasins for her dad. The Leather is so soft to the touch and look very well made. I plan to get some in the future for myself. http://www.thehitchinpost.com/store...Code=THP&Product_Code=4500&Category_Code=mocc Wassookeag Moccasins - http://www.wassookeagmoccasins.com I bought my mom some fleece lined house shoes. These have a nice streamlined look and also look very comfortable. Looks like they don't have them on their site anymore so not sure if they ran out our discontinued them. Also bought my 3 year old daughter some fleece lined cow hide and moose hide shoes. Nice and light for around the house. I don't wear house shoes as I'm usually fine in whatever shoes I happen to be wearing but I'm curious in trying out some of their triple sole shoes.
Tires BFGoodrich g-Forceā¢ Sport - Made in USA http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/name/g-force-sport-tires I have used these Performance Summer tires on two different vehicles and really like them. I got over 25k miles of use on an Acura RSX Type S. I don't remember the exact number but for performance tires, anything over 20k miles is good for me. They were not too loud and handled well in dry and wet conditions. Currently running them on an Evo and don't feel I lost too much from my previous Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires. The BFGoodrich are a lot less expensive and are good for general street driving. The Dunlops would probably show an advantage on the track but again they cost alot more; especially since BFGoodrich seems to run rebate promotions more often.
Alden Shoes http://www.aldenshoes.com/ I have several pairs of shoes made by this company and Allen Edmonds. High quality and well worth the price. McIntosh http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/us/Pages/Home.aspx# Amps, pre-amps, processors, and more. A few of my home theater components are from this company. I highly recommend them.
