Just got underway. Feels like a championship match.
Surpised Jose left Ozil on the bench but it looks like he's not going to let 5 nil happen this time at all. Alonso, Pepe and Khedira across the midfield? Some uncompromising play will be seen in midfield today.

Great first half. Close call and could have been a penalty on the foul on Villa in the box.

    Barca wins 1-0. Visca BARCA!!!!

He just returned from injury not too long ago and this is Madrid. He'll find his way into the starting lineup at some point you figure.

Also, Ozil was on the bench because of Mourinho's desire to use Pepe to man-mark Messi so Kaka can't feel any shame for being there.

Heckuva match after the Albiol red card. Mourinho finally decided to get after it and we all know Barca would stretch them.
I found it hilarious when Pepe overreacted to Messi kicking the ball into the stands. Projectiles/sticks start flying towards Messi and then we get a look at the stands before the sticks started flying and you see an old man, probably about 70-80 yrs old in the stands yelling with the rest of the supporters. he has a stick in his hands (didn't look like a cane) and it looked like one of the ones that flew at Messi.

3 more matches in the coming weeks. Wednesday's Copa del rey final should be just as engrossing.

And as much as I wanted Madrid to win, I gotta say Marcelo is such a little ****.
He did the same thing when he got Crouch sent off in the CLeague 1st leg vs Tottenham. You win a penalty, you act classy and keep it moving. Not Marcelo.
