28 rushes for 114 yards in the preseason with us. Insurance for Tate's injury since Forsett hasn't really shown much in limited time. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>When a team claims a guy off waivers, they claim his contract. No, they indeed waiver Alexander to make room for Grimes. Since they claimed him on waivers he had to be put on the active roster. I'm guessing that Sharpton is really close, or they're comfortable with Ruud.
No way...Tate will not get cut to make room for Grimes. This means Tate's injury is more severe than anticipated and he may miss a few games, so more depth is needed at RB. As soon he Tate is healthy again, he'll be the #2 RB.
17 carries for 85 yards in his last 3 games isn't bad for your 3rd string guy (Forsett). I can't think of many other 3rd string RBs who've done substantially better in the backup role. Ronnie Brown, Shaun Draughn? Welcome back Grimes, hope he battlefights his way up the depth chart.
