With Boston wanting to be involved why not send our Gordon and capela and get back butler and terry rozier!? TR contract would be up around the time Chris Paul’s would be close to being done .. right ? Just a thought he could be our 6th man off the bench in place of Gordon and learn from cp3
Rockets get: Jimmy Butler ($32.7 mil max) 76ers get: Kevin Love ($28.9 mil) Nene's expiring ($3.8 mil) Celtics 2020 2nd round pick Rockets future 1st round pick *still can max Tobias Harris* Celtics get: Clint Capela ($14.9 mil) Eric Gordon's expiring ($14 mil) *still can max Kemba Walker* Cavs get: Gordon Hayward ($32.7 mil) Celtics future 2nd round pick Starters Paul Harden Jimmy Butler (6'8") Tucker Nerlens Noel (MLE) (6'11") Bench Mike Muscala (vet min) (6'11") Jamal Crawford (vet min) House (re-sign) (6'7") Hartenstein (7'0") Anthony Tolliver (vet min) (6"8") G. Green (vet min) Gary Clark (6'8")
I approve this trade. Hard to believe 4 teams can make a decent trade, but if the numbers work.....it looks like everyone could be a winner. I would go after JaVale MeGee over Nerlens as a starter. More muscle would be needed. Not sure we would have the money for D House.
The numbers work for all 4 teams. House is restricted. We can match whatever any team throws at him. I like what I saw from Noel last season in OKC. We would have plenty of muscle with Muscala and Hartenstein backing him up.
If House had bird rights or early bird rights, yes; but he has no bird rights. So the Rockets had what was left of the MLE which was about $4M to re-sign House.....but then we signed Deyonta Davis at $1.6M. So I believe your trade proposal might have to clear space to bring in House. Shumpert is full bird rights and Gerald Green is early bird rights......so we can pay larger amounts for them (greater than vet min) if need be.
How much do you think other teams will throw at House? Personally, I can't see more than $3-4 mil per yr. We can find that.
This is just my opinion. SF’s are all the rage (for position less B-ball) which means they get paid bucks. Supply and demand stuff. IMO House was putting up numbers equal or better than half the SF’s in the league starting. Ariza got $15M last summer. Experience of House is raw so that means there is risk by a team and can mean higher upside as well. I expect $7M to $9M; but would not be surprised if some fool gives him $12M to $15M. Houston might get a a hometown discount of $4M to $6M if he can be in the rotation of a good/great team. Again just my opinion. I could post his season numbers. Some team will like them.
