Thabo Sefolosha and Jamychal Green are a couple guys who won’t take a first to get and move the needle enough to pretend the Rockets are making progress. Again, any trade that is Brandon Knight/1st round pick for a role player on an expiring deal is a Tillman salary dump in disguise. Don’t be fooled.
Covington too good to get traded twice in one season!!! Timberwolves been holding their breathe thinking d rose gonna get hurt. Never thought Minnesota fire coach thibedeux!!!
Barring something unforeseen, this is my final proposal going into the trade deadline: Gordon/Knight/Chriss/1st rounder for MKG/Lamb/Marvin We do it acquire defense, depth and shooting, while swapping one rotation player for three. MKG’s defense could be game-changing off of the bench (similar role to LMAM), Marvin is one of the better 3&D stretch 4’s in the league and Lamb is a great sixth man. Charlotte does it to move MKG, get something to show for two potential FA’s and acquire the best player in the deal. They like MKG but not at that price tag (he’s hinted he will opt in). I guess you could argue MKG and Knight cancel each other out, which means the deal essentially becomes Gordon/Chriss/1st rounder for Marvin/Lamb. I think that’s enough to at least grab their attention. They might ask for more, though.
We should go get Thon Maker to be our stretch 4 coming off the bench. That way Kenneth Faried can be the backup C when Capela comes back. And if somebody goes down ,God forbid, when can plug Maker in at the 5.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine Last ditch effort to get Butler. Offer Philly 2 1sts, if not offer them 3. They get EG and Temple as well. Give up the first to Memphis, and hope someone like Ellington gets bought out. If the reports are to be believed, this year’s buyout market could yield some very good role players. Sign one or two of them and we may have enough if Philly were to bite. CP/Rivers Harden/GG/?(mystery buyout shooter) Butler/House PJ/J Green Clint/Manimal/DJ? Why not?
we can take 50 mill off WSH roster Beal and Porter CC, EG, Chriss, Knight + a 1st They get a great young center locked in, and a bunch of expiring next year. EG and CC could work decently with Wall.
We don't think we need Clint anymore? Have the last 10 games not showed us how valuable he is in the middle for James? As a trio, we had a 90% winning percentage last season when James, CP and Clint started together. That was BEST in the NBA. We had #1 seed. We want to break that up?
Question is not do we not need CC, its is Porter/Beal/DJ an improvement over EG/CC This is in a hypothetical scenario DJ gets released.
News flash: CC is the only valuable asset on our team, and the only way we can get a real difference maker. CC > DJ, but DJ can be had for free and we could use CC to improve our team more than the marginal buyout players CF has been mentioning.
I had to think about this one for a minute, but its certainly an interesting proposal that I hadn't seen. I haven't watched CHA this year, so I'm trusting your assessment. Do you see Lamb and Marvin as giving us enough consistent shooting to replace EG? I'm concerned by Gordon's injuries, it looked like he tweaked his hamstring last game. When you come back too soon from one injury, it opens you up to something else getting damaged.
Marvin is a pretty consistent shooter. Lamb is streaky, but a capable scorer that can score in bunches and create his own offense. Prototypical sixth man material. The wild card in this scenario is MKG. The fit is odd offensively given his lack of range, but defensively he embodies everything we’re trying to accomplish with this high IQ switch-everything scheme. I’ve seen him give everyone from Westbrook to LeBron fits. Charlotte has even used him as a small-ball 5 in stretches this year. He has the chops defend elite players; something this team is sorely lacking at the moment with Capela out and Tucker looking fatigued.
Meh , just keep waiting and pressing F5. If that doesn't work , press CTRL + ALT + Delete and go drink a bottle of Mezcal , when you wake up , it'll all be over.
Denver has 3 TPE's , the smallest of which is $5.9M. A three team deal with Denver , Houston and Memphis. Houston - Out - Chriss , Nene , 2 2nds Houston In - J.Green Denver in - Chriss , 2nd round pick Denver Out - $3.7m of that $5.9m TPE. Memphis in - Nene , 2nd round pick Memphis Out - J.Green. …. don't know if Memphis bites or if a 2nd is enough to rent Denver's TPE ?
