http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yd6728ef I think we send a first to Memphis for taking knight, Indy might have to give a couple of seconds are a first. Trade away Chriss for a roster spot for house or buyout candidate.
Random trade idea: Entire Rockets team, sans Harden, for a bag of chips. At least there's some semblance of nutritional value in a bag of chips over watching this garbage team play.
This team is needs to wake up. Players have shown they can defend when want too. Loose balls on floor guys just looking at them. Letting guys snowbird for easy lay ups. I know we are missing Capela but move your feet and take a charge. Morey has to bring in a 3&D guy. All these open looks missed are driving me insane. Sometimes it looks like the rockets think they are the team that has won 3out of 4 tittles and can just coast thru the regular season. They even sell Earned Jerseys what a joke sometimes. Sorry about the rant.
If Memphis is willing to take BK then why not? Morey says we are in win now mode. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine Houston in : Covington, J Green, Joe Harris, 2nd Houston out: BK,Chriss,Nene,Ennis 2 1sts, 1 second. Memphis in: BK, T Graham, Houston 1st Memphis out: J Green, Temple Minny in: Temple, Chriss, Houston 1st Minny out: Covington, 2nd to Houston Brooklyn in: Nene, Ennis, Caspi, Houston 2nd, Minny 2nd via Houston Brooklyn out: Joe Harris, T Graham Sign DJ after buyout (hopefully) CP/Rivers Harden/EG Covington/Joe Harris J Green/PJ/Manimal Capela/DJ/Manimal Our defense is horrific. Our shooting is inconsistent to put it mildly. Get two premium defenders at the 3 and 4 who can also catch, shoot and rebound. Add a premium shooter to our bench and add DJ. We ain’t getting a superstar with our current assets. It’s inevitable that we give up a first to get rid of BK’s contract. If we won’t deal EG then we will have sacrifice picks if we want to save this season. Would Brooklyn or Minny say no?
Here it is Rockets out: Bad Players Rockets in: Good Players Other team out: Good Players Other team in: Bad Players Rockets win Championship! Simple as that.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yamaaa7s Eric Gordon and Mirotic to Philly Capela, Wilson Chandler, Muscala, Fultz, House, Houston picks and Philly pick to Pelicans Anthony Davis to Houston Houston does it. Why does Philly and Pelicans do it? Philly definitely gets better than they are now without giving up much. New Orleans? I don’t know man, why do we even think we have a chance!?!? EDIT: you can switch Muscala with TJ since Pelicans need a point guard. Seriously, is this too far fetched?
I would approve of this deal. I would probably still start Tucker. Play it by ear with Faried/Green substitution at PF.
I really appreciate that. I put a lot of thought into that post and thought no one was going to take notice. It's nice to have your ideas validated so thanks!
Your link did not take. BSPN trade machine is not working right at the moment. Here is a link of the trade from RealGM.trade checker https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7173841
We’ve needed a defensive wing(s) since the start of this season. I want a shooter, but Morey has to get someone who can defend as well Thanks man.
Aaron Gordon Mozgov For Eric Gordon Nene Knight How many firsts would we have to throw in to make that happen?
Why include Knight and Mozgov? Roughly same salary, both seem almost unplayable. If we're going to have someone languishing on the bench, better a broken Knight than a broken Mozgov (since we're losing Gordon but still have Faried/Hart as backup C's). Don't think Orlando cares either way since they'd be rebuilding. I think it would take at least 3 picks, with the first and last one being unprotected.
I figured that Orlando would want to unload their worst asset in an AG trade, which would be Mozgov. BK isn't much better, but I think he might have a tiny more value. So that's why I did it: to give Orlando a little something more. Even though it is very little. Plus, Orlando has way too many big guys. So generally speaking I think they'd rather have a meh guard than a meh center.
I think they'd almost rather dump Fournier in the trade and just endure 1 more year of Mozgov. If they traded A Gordon and Fournier for players who all expire in 2020, they would be set for rebuilding with all their contracts expiring this summer or next. Fournier is a terrible defender with mediocre offense, I'm sure they'd like to get rid of his 2+ years at the same salary as Mozgov. What makes it tough imo is why trade Gordon if you're rebuilding? 23 years old, declining contract that would be easy to manage even if you wanted to create 2 max slots. Would love to get that guy on the Rockets though.
