The whole cell phone thing comes off like an SNL skit. I picture a minor police procedure, "hey Aaron, love you bro, can I get your autograph? By the way, yeah, we need your cell phone, just protocol, no biggie. Umm... yeah, sure bro, I'll be right back..." then he returns with shredded pieces of metal and it escalates. Later Tebow is visiting him in jail. That's funny right?
I picture Hernandez thinking 'if I crush my phone they won't get any of my calls or texts to the victim'.
I can almost see the confusion on Hernandez's face when the police come back with his phone and text records, and start grilling him about them. "But I destroyed my phone. I read on the internet that if you destroy your phone, you can't access my phone calls and texts. If it's on the internet, it has to be true."
and he will be hired by ESPN. I can almost imagine the awkwardness when Ray Lewis' is on their panel of analysts and they must talk about the Hernandez murder.
How hard is it to report it when the warrant is actually issued instead of being the first with "breaking news"? It's gotten to the point where they have sources to deny claims by other sources. http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/2013/06/21/arrests-yet-slaying-man-acquainted-with-new-england-patriots-player-aaron-hernandez/RGpePOOJluLOccxdPDtpCL/story.html The investigation into the murder of a Dorchester man who has been linked to New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez continues, but no one has been arrested, and no warrants have been issued for anyone in connection with the murder, a law enforcement official said today. “There are no arrest warrants issued,’’ said the official who has been briefed on the investigation into the slaying of Odin L. Lloyd. “For anyone.’’
This whole thing has eerie similarities to OJ back in 1994. Murder victim has ties to Hernandez. Evidence begins to come to light within a couple of days that throw heavy suspicion on Hernandez. Hernandez is "missing" for more than 24 hours under heavy surveillance. Arrest warrant attempted...but suspect is not where he is expected to be. Hell, its even happened during the same time of year when the NBA finals are going on. I wonder if we see a slow speed chase in a white bronco next?
I won't be shocked when it comes to light that a black shoe with a rip in it was found at the crime scene. In court, Hernandez will try it on, and it will be half a size too small for him.
