    Do you see the pure concentration on Peter R. Orszag's face? Two guys grinning, Obama telling some story, Biden's face is hidden, and Peter R. Orszag is probably doing Itō stochastic integrals........in his head.

    But you aren't the hiring manager. Obama is the one that has to work with him.

    Life is about self preservation ...esp Politicians. Obama isn't a stupid man and he's doing what he feels is best. Why would he hire somebody if he felt they wouldn't do a good job?

    Plus what if Orszag is a closet racist or something. Do you think a team of Obama and Orszag is best for the country if the two can't even have open dialogues about simple stuff?

    Hiring somebody is soooooooo much more than credentials.

    You know I didn't say he was racist. Don't be disingenuous.

    Point being, many factors go into hiring decisions beyond credentials.
