We all know that they get to keep it if it is in the top 20. If the season ended today, the pick would be number 18 and we would lose the pick. My question is, If the Mavs win a a playoff round, does that move them into the back 10 and therefore give us the pick??
NBA draft not like NFL No. NBA is not like NFL come playoff time. In the NBA, whatever your regular season record plus tiebreakers is what determines your slot in the draft minus the lottery teams. The Mavs won last year but drafted 26th not 30th. NFL, Superbowl winner drafts last, runner-up second to last, and so on.
