We all know that they get to keep it if it is in the top 20. If the season ended today, the pick would be number 18 and we would lose the pick.

My question is, If the Mavs win a a playoff round, does that move them into the back 10 and therefore give us the pick??

    NBA draft not like NFL

    No.

NBA is not like NFL come playoff time. In the NBA, whatever your regular season record plus tiebreakers is what determines your slot in the draft minus the lottery teams. The Mavs won last year but drafted 26th not 30th.

NFL, Superbowl winner drafts last, runner-up second to last, and so on.

I really want that Mavs Pick, this draft is so deep

    Dream Scenario

    14th we take Arnett Moultrie

17th we take Tyler Zeller or Meyers Leonard

    21st we take Quincy Miller

Minny 2nd rounder i think we take a SG like William Buford

Then we do our best to bring Sergio Llul over from Spain

Nah, we need that Knicks pick. I was thinking more like Martin, Bud + Dallas future pick for Rondo and a 2012 1st.

    yeah that trade can't happen

I'm thinking because if morey likes fournier, and he thinks a player like royce white, moultrie, wroten will drop far enough, I say go for it.
