Does anyone know where i can find a colored tower case for computer. I would like to build my own and i want to get a blue case. If you have any info on this let me know. CK
Is this to match the rest of your computer, Hawk, or do you just like blue? Do you live in Houston, and if so, what part? Because when I lived in Houston, I went to a place called EPO (Electronic Parts Outlet). It was great, but it was more in the direction of Galveston.
Actually Rhino it is to build a new one. It doesn't have to be blue if they have other colors. I don't live in Houston but live close enough to get to the place if i cannot find them anywhere else.
Gee Mango if i tried to do that I would never get the thing finished. However painting one a solid color myself is a good idea.
Painting the case? Hows about Modding the case! <a href="http://distributeddenial.com/wintermute.htm">Here's a nice blue one with 2 windows</a>. <img src="http://distributeddenial.com/images/comp/big.jpg"> <a href="http://www.procooling.com/articles/html/project__the_rock-_una___9_27_.shtml">And I particularly liked this one</a> <img src="http://www.procooling.com/articles/assets/images/una_rock_window_installed_side.jpg"> <img src="http://www.procooling.com/articles/assets/images/una_rock_lighted_on_desk.jpg">
How much does it cost to do the paint job with auto paint versus a few cans of spray-on? Can you give him a few good tutorial & how-to links? Mango
If you end up buying a case, Directron (www.directron.com) in Houston carries several. I've bought from them before. If I remember they're located somewhere on Harwin. They sell a lot of quality cases such as ones made by Fong Kai (I love their cases). Just make sure your power supply will handle whatever you're throwing at it.
If money is no object, I'd go with an anodized blue Lian-Li case. It's fine as ****! Of course, it ought'a be....it costs three bills, and you still have to buy the power supply separately. http://www.tweakbox.com/cases.html
Lian Li makes those all-aluminum cases, don't they? Geez, those things are sweet. By the way, if you're interested in shelling out $150+ for those Lian Li cases, Fry's sells them. The one in the DFW area does, anyway.
