Quasi-Official: Clinton as SOS

I agree. I never saw Hagel as a possible SecState, but as defense secretary, and I think he would be an excellent one. Of course, Hillary Clinton becoming SecState never occured to me until Obama made it clear that he wanted her. As I said earlier, I think it is an excellent choice for a host of reasons. Guess we'll see if it happens and how that works out.

 

When someone like David Brooks gives Obama major props for his cabinet choices, that says something. The main one that concerns me is Hillary as SOS. As long as she & Bill buy into the "No Drama Obama" team-player concept, I suppose it could work out. Although I understand much of the rationale behind her selection, that's one choice that could bite him. If it works out well, I'd call it a masterstroke of a move and would echo the line that it shows how secure Obama is about himself.
