I really need to catch this on TV sometime unless of course you guys know where a clip is on the net some place.
I really do enjoy watching Pujols anytime it's not against the Astros. He's easily the best slugger in the game right now...and I don't see any reason why he can't break the single season record, and make a good run at the career record assuming he stays healthy. Nobody has gotten off to the kind of career start that he has. I don't think he's on the juice either. If he ever was it was probably between the age of 18-20, right before he came up. But he's a great hitter regardless... ...and so is Bonds. However, Bonds is also an arrogant prick that used the juice only to chase records for his own individual accomplishments. I almost feel bad for him sometimes for all the hate he gets, but then I see him do nothing but swing for the fence for two weeks chasing 714, and stare at a ball while in the batters box that gets caught at the fence by Juan Pierre, and that's all this guy cares about is the record. It's going to make me absolutely sick if some AL team picks him up next year as a DH ... when your knees are shot, you can't run the bases and play the field then it's time to give it up.
