Not all can search, only contributing members can...the original poster isnt one. Not to mention if you are tired of it, why post in this thread? I'm just saying.. touche
Starting off if you want to gain muscle and beef up, the standard thought these days is one gram of protein per pound of body weight. You can either do this through food, but optimally should be a balance of protein shakes and food. Problem of getting your protein mainly from meat, is that meat has alot of fat in it. Like others said eat 5-6 times a day. If you eat only twice a day, your body will think it needs to store all the food as fat. The key is tricking your body into thinking you don't need to store the food since you are eating many times in the day. For many training beginners/dieters it seems counterintuitive, but really this is the key to staying lean. Are you going for the lean muscle look or the meathead "huge" look? There is different type of training one would need based on this. I would suggest protein powders with low sugar. One really good one is the Dymatize brand. They make some really good flavours like Pina Colada. Best part is there is just 2gms of sugar per scoop, as opposed to 6-8 grams in other powders. Generally you should be taking about 30-40 grams of protein per sitting. Don't over do it all at once. As for creatine, I have taken it, but caused terrible digestive problems like constipation. Alot of people I know had have similar problems with it. But if you are lucky enough, you won't have any side effects. Creatine is a great supplement for those who can use it- probably one of the greatest sports supplement products in the past 50 years. If you are trying to cut fat first before adding muscle that is another subject altogether.
No im not trying to cut fat. i guess i want to add about 10-15 pounds. increase my bicep mass and chest mass and then maintain it. I dont wanna be too big so I guess lean is the way I would go. thanks for these tips, this thread has actually helped me realize that i dont eat enough time a day even though when i eat i tend to eat a lot. as ignorant as it sounds i didnt know eating a small amount a lot of time a day is a better solution. i think i will the protein a try, but probably not the creatine, i dont want to deal with side effects in case there are any. I was just curious about that.
Dude, you have to eat more than twice a day. If your "too" busy i recommend you buy the thickest multi grain monster size bread and some organic peanut butter. 2 slices + 2 tbs spoons = about 400 cal and 25 grams of protien. and it only takes about a minute to make.
i'd stay away from it...my friend used to use it and you have to continue to use it to stay big... he told me it causes a lot of acne too....and bacne (back ance)......drink a lot of water if you start though
