This is from Stephen Smith's column in the Philly Inquirer:

Do not be surprised if the Warriors get rid of Marc Jackson soon, knowing he never wanted to be there in the first place. Jackson will not be heading to Houston, though. League rules say a team must wait a year before trading a player to a team that extended an offer sheet to him during free agency. The Rockets made Jackson an offer in the off-season. Still, Indiana is a possibility, unless the Pacers can get their hands on Charles Oakley. Then all bets for Jackson are off. . . .

I laughed out loud when I read the line about "League rules say...," because he didn't mention that just for the sake of being helpful. HE JUST FOUND OUT THE RULE THIS WEEK.

At the beginning of the week, he was appearing on the role of "NBA insider" on Jim Rome's Fox TV show, and in his best inside-scoop manner, he told Rome and his guests they could look for Jackson be traded in January "to Houston, where he wanted to go all along."

Must have been a funny moment when someone informed him that his "scoop" was not only fictional, but impossible. :)

Stephen Smith is almost as much of a jackass as Vescey.
