Immigration is another issue both sides are talking past each other.

 

But again, nobody is arguing about enforcing immigration law. That isn't an issue being contested. The only issue being contested are kids being removed from their families. The issue is that one group of folks support that, and the rest don't support that kind of cruelty.

 

You're saying its two issues but its one. The kids cant go to jail with their parents. If you enforce the law this is a consequence.

No legislation is required to stop the policy. It was an executive action and the executive branch can end it today. Democrats aren't in charge of either house of Congress. They don't really have that much control of legislation.

The policy? I think because people in the administration such as Miller and Sessions have been obsessed with immigration for a long time. To them, there is no measure too far to go in order to be tough on asylum seekers, and immigrants. They have demonstrated a lacking morality.

 

What makes you think these faux ass Christians care about Pro Life? They don't even care about single mothers who have children out of wedlock. "Pro-Life" has always been about punishment. Punishing those people who have "immoral" premarital sex. They're against abortion but if you can't care for the baby when its born, you're on your own. Its not the government's job to raise your kid.

They don't give a **** about kids, babies, or "life". There's no way they care about these immigrant, illegal babies; or their families.

I think the kids should be well taken care of and not separated.

I also think they should enhance the crime penalty similar to the penalty you receive for DUI with child passenger.

I think DUI with a person under 16 is a felony.

I'm guessing you think that immigrants will somehow kill our culture. There are arguments to be made that the opposite would happen, but even if that's true... Separating children from parents won't prevent immigration (legal or illegal). There is no good that comes from this policy.
