you forgot about the bench. we have to play 8-9 rotation players in the playoffs. So besides the starting five that we have and landry as our sixth man, which are solid, the remaining 2-3 players in the rotation are unknown commodities.

One of these would be a big, probably hayes or dorsey or deke, depending on matchups. The other 2 players could be jackson(if he's not traded, but its doubtful he will be very productive), stevie francis (if he makes a successful comeback, again doubtful), brooks (if he rapidly improves his game as a playmaker, also doubtful), brent barry (if age doesn't catch up wif him), or luther frekin head (if no trade happens and all the above options is unproductive,in which case we are damned!)

So you see, aside from the front line, which is set, our biggest weakness is the bench, especially at the swing position, with head(who sucks) and barry (old+injury prone) being our only option. jackson and francis is simply too shortand unreliable to be considered as a legit backup swingman.

Like mentioned earlier, I would try to position ourselves in a possible trade with Indiana for Rush. They know we coveted him prior to the draft and might be available if we include Head along with Landry. That would be a nice scenario since we need to free up the roster for him anyway.

If not, A decent backup 5 like Hibbert wouln't be a bad option. I would definitly talk to them to see what might be available to benefit both teams...

The Pacers have no center apart from Foster,I don't think they will give up Hibbert.Rush in exchange for not matching an MLE offer for Landry is going to be tough too.

I'm quite certain that the only guys that they might consider giving up are Tinsley or Shawne Williams, provided if Carl is fit.Head could possibly have limited value to them.

What amount would Landry be contempt with?

Mid-first rounders make about $2 million, would Landry be happy with that?
