Only because he can't stay healthy.

Correa is the Grant Hill of baseball thus far.

All world talent but injuries limit his production or keep him off the field all together. Luckily, he's only 24. Hopefully he can put together a nice run and stay healthy the next 2 seasons.

This is Correa's 4th full season. He's played more than 110 games ONE time and doesn't look like he will play 110 games this year. He's missed over 25% of the games the last 4 seasons ( includes scheduled off days).

Except that Grant was actually putting up elite numbers before the one crippling foot injury.

Sure, that’s a big knock on him and well deserved. I mean healthy Correa. That dude has produced at a big time level.

Healthy CC is an MVP level player. I miss that guy, we've seen him in stretches.

    Not the equivalent though.

When did Correa put up a season of “elite” numbers?

We can talk about him being overrated when he starts playing 140 games a year or more.

2017, we all know he hasn't played a full season, so there ya go.

We may see him again for more than just stretches... but cannot count on it.

Again...in a perfect world...I'd like the 9-hole to have some OBP skills and not be a slug on the bases. It's basically a 2nd leadoff batter for Springer etc once you get through the lineup once.

yuli 9th is not what you want then. Thats why I said reddick would be better on all fronts. Left Handed and gets on base more than yuli and is faster

Gurriel can start hitting or the Astros can look for a 1st baseman at the deadline with a low cost. For all the **** White has gotten, Gurriel has been just as bad.

I had hopes for Yuli to turn it around and start spraying linedrives, he just hasn't done it. If there's a cheap replacement you replace him.

He was an asset last year because he was so ridiculously good situationally. He hasn't done that this year.

Well, Grant Hill was elite for 6 full seasons before the injury. One very good partial season for Carlos but he has not achieved “elite” numbers yet. Hopefully he will.

Yep. And unfortunately Gurriel is 35 years old. He is not likely to rebound. Anyone counting on him for more than a bench role going forward is going to be disappointed. Upside is he’s a great clubhouse guy and should still be able to make enough contact and play the corner IF well enough to justify his roster spot until his contract runs out next season.

You’re talking about 2 incredibly different sports. Correa in his 3rd year at age 22 was a potential MVP candidate before the injury. He recovered and was elite in the playoffs en route to a championship. You’re underselling him. Last year was a bust with the back and he was once again awesome this year before he got hurt... yet again.

His attendance sucks. That’s a huge knock. But his play, when healthy, is great.
