you freaks are soooo serious about your movie posters and your movies. it's a freaking sci-fi kids movie!!! it's not going to be a life-changing event. except for with the other freaks who line up months in advance for tickets dressed as wookies. freaks.
I'm hoping your wrong about that. I'm super excited about this movie. The early screenings have come back with great feedback saying that this one may only be beat by ESB. That would be A-OK with this guy.
There is a chance this movie might be really good? You're just trying to hurt me, aren't you. You can't beat the original SW even with the greatness of ESB, BTW. OK?
i hear ya...i think it will be great too. and frankly, they'd be hard-pressed to screw it up by me. the story in itself is one i've grown up with. seeing the outcome here with my son is one of the things i'm looking forward to most. i just hear people come down so hard on lucas and the last movies as if they're OWED something...i personally could not care less what the poster looks like. mewogi -- at their heart, these are kids movies...they have always been so, even if they've captured the imagination of people much older. there are other great kids movies that have done the same. listen to lucas talk about his inspiration for these movies and you hear him talk about the series of Saturday western films he saw as a kid where you went back each week to see how your hero's story progressed. star wars fans seem to be so dorky about this stuff, though. like literally getting angry because of the name of a character...or the poster....or things like that. it's not their story to tell. it's george's. that's it.
I don't think the original Star Wars was a kids movie. It was Science Fiction / Fantasy that children freaked out over. Lucas would not of brought in Joseph Campbell for just a kids movie. It was not his intention. The more Lucas started pandering to the kids, the worse the movies became.
