Avira just popped up a virus warning for something called infected.webpage.html when I opened a thread in the hangout. This was the advertisement up when it happened.

I just got an ad that automatically forwarded me to a fake antivirus website saying my computer was infected.

I've turned off the network that has the offending ad. I'm pretty sure that is the case because there are several recent publisher complaints on their message board.

Basically, everyone here is getting the bad end of the stick because of an exploit in flash. The "advertiser" (hacker) posts an ad in the network, they test/screen it, then the hacker switches it or takes advantage of some script exploit in their flash. I've spent tons of time trying to get answers from these networks -- every one has been hit by a problem ad at some point. They are trying to patch every hole in their security and screening process because an ad that redirects a user to a site that tries to trick people into downloading a virus is brutal for all of us.
