Hibbert would complement Aldridge well, with the rebounding and low post presence.

I like how people are already assuming that Indy's not matching the max offer. Yeah, Portland would be nice with Hibbert. Just like Houston would be nice with Dwight Howard.

I hope the Blazers get Hibbert for the max. That's what they deserve.

If you couldn't figure it out yet, this FA class sucks outside of Deron Williams. It's turning into another Ben Gordon Charlie Villenueva bidding war style of an offseason, where class B guys are paid like class A guys simply due to a lack of supply. Whoever has and uses their cap space this offseason, if it's not on minor moves, is wasting it.

And for the record I have little respect for Portland management post-Pritchard. Yes New Jersey gift-wrapped them a hell of a trade for Wallace, but the ownership hired a yes-man, and their picks for Lillard and Leonard are trash. We probably feigned interest in both guys to throw them off our tracks. The way they're throwing their money around now is further proof of their incompetence. Let them take on Hibbert for 55M; he's not a game changer either way.

Man i hope the Rockets would give this guy the max. Instead of giving Omer 8 Mil. per year.

Hibbert isn't going anywhere. He will still be in Indiana next year. The only thing Portland did by offering the max is assuring Hibbert will get max money from the Pacers. I would imagine Hibbert's agent loves Portland this morning.

Another team also offered the max - - Rox? Offer Lowry and PPat in a max/SnT and see how likely Indy matches.

Rather overpay Hibbert than Asik. Just sayin'.

Portland or Indiana is going to regret signing Hibbert to the max. GM's can't help themselves.

I hope portland get hibbert, so the rockets will be alone in the push for dragic and asik. And can get both with a cheaper contract.

Portland talks to Asik and offers Hibbert and we just offer Asik.

Did you hear about the Dalembert trade or the Budinger trade discussed 10 days in advance?

When POR offers max deal is that maoney held towards cap? I am wondering because I am thinking it hinders POR from bidding on Omer Asik.

Yes! Just like the Rockets... Other than having a top 20 player in Aldridge, 2 lottery picks and Batum... Virtually a carbon copy!
