What the hell is wrong with wearing a polo? Now one with a giant logo on it, okay I get that. All 3 buttons down, or all 3 buttons up? Okay, dorky. But a plain polo, no logo, with 1 or 2 buttons clipped up? That's class.
I like a good ralph lauren polo, but I hate collars in general, so I typically don't wear them. Now back in the day I was all about this look on a Friday night cruising North Oaks Mall LOL
What am I supposed to wear besides a polo though? I don’t wear them to work but I’ll wear them when I want to look presentable but not want to wear a full sleeve because it’s hot and can’t wear a teeshirt.
I feel like those are more tropical than casual. Even Brooks Bros sells polos, not short sleeve button ups.
They sure do sell them, so do a bunch of other people https://www.brooksbrothers.com/on/d...e/en_US/Search-Show?q=short+sleeve&lang=en_US I mean, who doesn't need a $90 Irish linen shirt?
I have work long sleeve shirts, patterned long sleeve shirts where I roll up the sleeves, plain polos, and graphic tees (Rockets). Each serves a different scene. But I have 0 short sleeve full buttons, and I have not had one in 20+ years.
No work (depending on how high on the boss level you are)...but they're perfect for weekend gatherings, bbq's, watching kids play sports, etc... If you wanted to go full-on Dad-Mode, get a couple of the "fishing shirts" from Columbia or Magellan. Unless I'm wearing a coat & tie, or it's cold as hell, I'm wearing a short sleeve button up. Sometimes with jeans, sometimes with shorts.
Or I am just going to buy a bunch of second hand Rockets Westbrook jerseys and wear them with jean shorts.
I pretty much just wear jeans, shorts, polos and t-shirts. As long as I'm not nekkid scaring the neighborhood and wildlife, I'm good. I've thought about buying some of those cuban shirts - guavacadobanana shirts or whatever they're called. Are those in? Hopefully not, so I can get them cheap.
