Harden for me, he made us relevant again, the team goes as he does. Bev & Gordon have been a close second this season. I love everyone on this team, even though Brewer is pretty bad, he does try.
Beverly is easily my favorite player. I love watching him fight for that ball. He will throw his whole body into every play, and won't let guys push him around. He's got that scrappy, gritty, never stop energy that just makes him fun to watch.
For me, it's Harden all day every day. Without him, we are just another team on a treadmill. Every game, I'm not only hoping to win, but I am watching to see if Harden can score over 30, get 15 assists, and grab 10 rebounds because I want him to get a triple double every game. Even when he does he careless turnovers, I know he is the reason that we are in this conversation and I just wait for him to make another brilliant play for the team one way or another. Do I wish he went to the next level and had that MJ killer instinct attitude and always had zero turnovers, of course I do. But he is still growing and I don't think that we have seen the best Harden to come yet. Now for the rest of the team, my favorite players are...in order: Gordon Capela Bev (wouldn't have said that 15 games ago, he would be behind Ariza and Anderson) Dekker Ariza Anderson Harrell Again, these are not rankings as to who I think are the best on the team or who make the team the best, just my favorite players in order.
Beverley. Came back and really made the Rockets what they are. Simply looking at the how our defensive rating have jumped up since his return.
I guess I hadn't thought about it - I was honestly enjoying the team as a whole and not really attaching to one player. (Which is a good thing! You're right that this is a likable team!) To really resolve it in my head, I had to ask myself which person on that list I would be happiest to see retire as a Houston Rocket. The answer was Patrick Beverley. Doesn't mean I don't see his flaws or dislike any of the other guys. But he bleeds red and plays the right way, and that's what really matters to me.
My favorites in order 1. Harden 2. Beverley 3. Capela 4. Anderson 5. Harrell 6. Dekker 7. Ariza 8. Gordon 9. Wiltjer 10. Nene 11. Brewer 12. KJ 15. Ennis
pure garbage?! i see you not appreciate energy and professionalism as well as vocal leradership much? I believe morey is keeping him inthere just to teach harden the lessons which he needs the most
Harden fanboy. Everyone in the 10 man rotation is great rn, Gordon, Ariza, Anderson, NeNe, Harrell, Dekker... I went from liking Bev to liking him more, then getting annoyed by him (started thinking he was overrated), back to liking and respecting his game.
