it's only a one hand sample size, I played @ PS for years, and this type of play is fairly standard for this buy in level. It's fairly common to see a hand go to showdown like this with the villan turning over a hand like KK or JJ. It's also very common for the hero to run through this sequence with a hand range of QQ+ and AQs+.

Nobody here can make a judgement on the villian without reading the Hero's HUD and making a good read on what type of player he was/is or Mulder for that matter. Mulder could have been a rock and just woke up to a flopped boat. It wasn't the smartest play on a limped SB, but it wasn't the dumbest play either based on ONE converted HH.

I've decided not to play poker for real money after a bad beat a while ago.

I had [KK], went all in for over $200. One caller with [AK] (off suite)

    -flop: [2K9] (different suites)
    -turn: [A]
    -river: [A]

that's when it hit me that poker is largely just gambling for people like me.

LOL. Is this the hangout version of BBV? Might as well chime in. A couple of years ago I lost AA to KJ at the final table of a $3r where 1st paid a little over $6000. Waiting for the one day when PokerStars will let me run good so I can stop thinking about a tournament that happened 3 YEARS AGO!!!

Proud, not really. Thought it was fairly comical actually in a 90 man tourney that made it to heads up that this is how it ended.

    Lighten up Francis.
