Starters were resting for 3 straight weeks and they looked rusty as hell. It has to be part of the reason they were dropping easy passes left and right, and Rodgers being hesitant and inaccurate. Giants were obviously the better team regardless though.
So you really think them sitting out week 17 was the big factor in them losing this game and was the reason they dropped passes and was fumbling the ball?
They looked a lil rusty but them losing had a lot to do with the Giants defense. Their defense usually show up against the good teams so it's not shocking. Something tells me if the starters played against Detroit they still would have lost this game.
Wow, what was suppose to be a Saints - Packers epic battle of the ages turned into Giants-49ers. 49ers will squash the Giants. Both of these teams have played great, but won more because Green Bay and New Orleans has no idea how to hold onto a football. 3 fumbles each is why they both lost. They literally gave the game away.
I wonder if the death of the O-coordinator's son (and the fact he still coached during the game) left some of the Packers' skill players a bit distracted and heavy-hearted. Something clearly wasn't right.
They only rested Aaron Rodgers, Jennings and Starks were still hurt, so they rested them too, but all the WRs played: Nelson, Finley, Jones, Driver. Jordy Nelson had 9 rec, Jones had 6 rec, Finley had 7 rec, Driver had 2 rec. so all the WRs (except Jennings) played in week 17. so, they didnt get rusty for not playing for 3 weeks.
Giants front four was just too much for the Packers. When those guys up front for the Giants are on their game and wreaking havoc, there isn't an offensive line that can hold up.
I forgot about. That might of had a little to do with it but it was mostly due to the front line of the Giants
