It apparently did hit some buildings. They said it was going from Laguardia to JFK (or was that JFK to LaGuardia?). I'm trying to set my tv up at work right now to see what's going on...
FBI says, "No indication of foul play" but if you ask me, how can they tell this early? I mean, here's a plane full of fuel heading to Santo Dominingo and now it's crashed, no one can get real close, how does the FBI know, "no foul play"???? rH
There were apparently 247 passengers on-board... The details about where it was heading is still sketchy... now they're saying that it was headed to Santa Domingo (?). There was no distress signal. An eye-witness is saying she saw an explosion at the point where the wing met the rest of the plane right before it plummetted...
I think they're saying it's not foul play because of the witnesses. It looks like it might not be terrorist activity. Reports are coming in and the people saw an engine fall off of the plane and they say the plane was old. That's the report so far.
CNN said that the plane crashed "on takeoff"...Don't know if that means it crashed on the runway or what, but I don't think this was terrorists...
Witnesses are saying there was an explosion on the right wing. And then the plane went down. This is bull****!!@!! It may have been an accident, but dam! I'm not ruling out sabotage just yet. As rock said its way to early to know.
All airports in NY closed...explosion or fire on right side also mentioned again. F - 15 scrambled overhead at least twice. Engine reportedly broke off separate from plane.
How do you know it wasn't a bomb that caused it to blow up upon take-off? I doubt it was hijacked that early in the flight. Surf
But how do people know that it wasn't just a mechanical problem and NOT terrorist activity? Nobody reports hearing an explosion before it went down, they heard explosions AFTER it crashed. And they say the engine fell off the plane, and they are also saying that the plane may be old. It's looking like an isolated incident so far from preliminary reports.
