Good points although that team is going to win 65+ games, whereas I think we are really lucky to win 50-55 and they were not destroyed in that game like we were last night. I’m not in the remove Dantoni camp, it’s too late anyway for that especially since this system is his system we need him to make it work best he can ... Bottom line if we are nailing 3s Plan A Works awesomely, if we aren’t there really isn’t a Plan B to go to anyway. Better or for worse this is what we’ve got, would it be nice to see some mid range game happen at times to take some pressure off, sure but the system is so entrenched in these players that’s highly unlikely so we gotta roll with what we’ve got until we win it all or get sent home ...
Actually what happened is we got a reminder about how they plan to officiate us in the playoffs. We have to be strong with the ball and blow thru the contact. Russ got hit more than James did and they were like obvious bumps while Trezz and Kawhi were getting bumped the same and they would get the call. That's why they have to play thru the contact it's a lack of respect.
You have to make your shots. I’m sorry, this team doesn’t have the marksman GS has! So we all need to STOP thinking because it worked for GS it will work for HOU. HOU don’t have the shooters GS does!!
Midrange is more like plan C or even D. Rockets counter to zone needs to be overloading a side and cutting to basket. But taking and hitting 3's is what makes the Rockets offense so potent and special. Relying on 2 ball to win games makes Rockets an average team.
Rockets should get better 3 point shooters that is only thing we agree on. Not necessarily the best 3 point shooters in history like GSW but shooters who shoot over 35%, if not 40%. But shooters also have to be good switch defenders too.
Harden needs a center to grab his rebounds for 3 points and foul. Westbrooks does not need a center for easy layup. If you wants harden to offense, u need a center. Because his shooting accuracy is low, we still can win by grabbing rebounds for him to shoot again. Small ball needs to run and lose energy on defence which cause low accuracy on shooting.
Harden also had a very mediocre night scoring 14 pts against the Lakers, WB had 40+, role players made shots. Win.
yeah but that didn’t work out against clips cuz role players were missing to. Harden success most of the time with dictate how the team plays
its not entirely hardens fault obviously but if he doesn’t waste multiple possessions with missed shots and turnovers which in turn created easy points for clips then it’s a different ball game. Plus role players feed off the stats spec in our offense. im not panicking though, cuz if harden is on we have a chance
Harty was MVP in hustle and scrimmage league finals. If there's a game plan for him there should be success.....
