    It's easier than it seems.

    I use a free program called "gimp 2"

    1) Scale the larger image down so the faces match size (make sure both images are zoomed at 100%)
    2) use the 'lasso' tool (free select) to cut out faces.
    3) Edit, copy visible
    4) Paste. Rotate if necessary.
    5) Use colorization/filters to match the look.
    6) Use eraser/smudge tool to clean the lines.
    7) Save as a .jpg
    8) Use imgur or other photo service to upload. Copy the BBC link for image.
    9) paste on clutchfans.
    10) enjoy your likes!

    You are quite welcome. It definitely takes some trial and error time but the good news is you can always just undo/redo as many times as you want.

    Something else that helps get a good copy is to make space around the head completely white or some solid color. Then, using the magic wand tool, grab the white background; then choose invert selection. That way you have just the outline of the head or whatever you're copying.
