Next time you see a redneck and a chimpanzee in a truck you should probably call the cops, nothing good is gonna come out of that. Other than shenanigans, or "monkey business" as they call it in the wild.

Unless there's an 18-wheeler of beer involved.

Wife is getting closer to retirement. Seriously considering a dodge 5500 chassis cab, so I can do this:

COG may still be a bit too far back on that frame, you don't want to end up like this guy

that’s a one ton. The 5500 about doubles the payload.

And not that I’d need to, but I’ll have my Honda trail 125 carried on the front.

There is no reason the truck can't pull forward like the truck is pulled all the way back right?

Im not a truck driver, but I doubt the wheels sit equally in place. Id imagine the bed sticks out further than if the front were facing into the spot? Idk

People going through the self checkout with a full cart annoys me far more.

I does stick out a bit farther, but in the pic it is only even with the bumper.

I am just being pedantic, so ignore me.

All good. I dont drive a big ass truck nor would I plan on it unless it was for work. I did used to drive a Tahoe and I can confirm, much easier to park by reversing in. Then again, I have only driven cars all my life so that was a big vehicle for me.

not necessarily just a simple payload issue, you could have 2-3000 pounds of payload to spare but if your center of gravity is off you could still theoretically damage the frame--even on a 550.

just make sure whatever camper you get the balance point is forward of the rear axle

For those that do back in over a sidewalk at least have the decency to remove the receiver hitch. I've knocked my knee too many times to keep count, I caught one one time that tore my pants and I took a 2" drop hitch as replacement for the pants.

I don’t currently have a truck but I used to, and yes it’s much easier to reverse that b****. These parking spots are often small and people in regular ass cars park like **** too. Even without a backup camera, which pretty much any car has now, it’s way easier to back into a space.

I think the bigger problem is lazy ****s circling around the parking lot 8x so they can get as close as possible. Bc of course that 10 mins extra looking for parking is a better use of time than spending 20 seconds on a longer walk.
