Would a Civil Manner For Blacks or Hygine Class For Mexicans event spark outrage too or would that be totally different?
Pretty much this. There are women in the workplace who do a girls only lunch, which I think is fine as IT work culture is mostly male centric. But am I going to get butthurt about being excluded or throw passive aggressive snipes about safe places? Who ****ing cares? Life is good. Something like this to draw out more female fans is a nice gesture, but the 101 aspect is bit dated. It might've been okay even 10 years ago, but apparently the femynyst warriers can do everything on their own without men to patronize them... Bottom line...those 1% twitter tards are probably not even spending good money at games that this promotion is targeting.
wow I would love to go there if I was a Mavs fan. Having Carlisle and Nba players and scouts explain sets and answer questions? Heck even not being a Mavs fan I would go there.
Well, it was almost assuredly some assistant coaches and bench players with a short guest appearance by Carlisle. Also you would be a big fish in a little pond there, haha. Its more geared for the casual fans. Though, Its pretty nice to see the facilities
Well, that would be pretty different in about 100 ways. So, yeah. What's next - people are going to equate this to dropping bombs on civilians or being Adolf Hitler? What if the Mavericks marketing dept just looked at the demographics of their consumers and decided it was disproportionately male, so they wanted to focus on females with an event? (Damn, I'm defending the Mavericks? And an event I don't endorse at all, or care about?) Attendance at this event is not compulsory, nor is it making a sweeping political statement. The fact that people are turning this into a social justice issue shouldn't surprise me (because I use social media), but nevertheless... I hate the age that we live in where people can generate conflict over everything.' If you don't like the event, don't support it. Don't go. That's freedom. I guess people feel like they're making "an impact" if they take to the internet and try to play god of justice on irrelevant issues.
Everyone has always had an opinion. We just didn't have to hear them all before. I really hate twitter and facebook. You don't think people b****ed and moaned about other things 10 years ago?
They should have named it as: Advanced Basketball Education for Women -- men don't have the brain to understand this stuff
What about a "men" only nights so we don't have to hear our boss talking and complaining about everything?
