    I don't think he was 6-11, but the way Thorpe played if someone said he was 7-1 you wouldn't necessarily disagree. Scola plays strong, but he doesnt play tall.


    Woulda been nice to see Scola in the league age 26 and on to make a good comparison.

    Yeah, it's a good point to take into account that we've seen him as an NBA player with starter-level minutes (30-plus) for a couple of years. Of course, at the same time, he's been playing international-level basketball since he was something like 16 years old or thereabouts (at least, I think I have my facts straight on that). I think Scola has spent half his lifetime playing in some very seriously competitive leagues, so he's got no lack high-level experience (that's for sure).
