    Nah, Parasite was an excellent film. Easily well deserved. Not sure what PC had to do with it winning.

    Minorities and women’s rights is a big PC movement for Hollywood. What better way to support that than having an international film win best picture

    It was seriously a great film though?

    It's kind of insulting to assume it won because of some agenda like that and if that was such a big factor then wouldn't more minorities and women be nominated in the first place? It seemed a lot of them were snubbed.

    Parasite was an amazing film though, at least IMO, and it was well deserved for best picture.

    It's the American film industry incl. Foreign pictures but the focus is on English speaking films.

    This was about to happen one or the other way as Hollywood has already adapted a prize winning feature film based on a foreign film.




    Other films that might have been candidates:

    Crouching Tiger, hidden dragon. (Taiwan/China)
